Professional Statement
Why did you become a physician/provider? Medicine is fascinating, and I wanted to use this knowledge to help patients improve their health.
As a provider, what is your medical philosophy? Communication is key to understanding the problem, discussing treatment options and implementing a treatment plan. To deliver safe and reliable care, all team members must be engaged in their work.
What type of care/clinical interests are you most passionate about? Hospital medicine, asthma and chronic medical conditions
Why did you choose your specialty? Pediatrics is interesting because the care is unique to child development, and children are resilient. I also enjoy working in the patient-caregiver-provider triad.
What qualities best describe the care you provide your patients? Evidence-based, individualized, practical, adaptable and child-focused.
Being a healthcare provider, what drives/motivates you each day? Variety. It is important to learn from clinical encounters in order to drive broader care initiatives that will improve the health of children in our community.
What is the most important thing patients should know about you and your practice? I am honored to take care of children.
