Pediatrics and women's health

Why did you choose your specialty?
I have worked as a nurse for over 13 years. I started in a nursing home while I was in highschool and worked in the pediatric intensive care unit as a RN. I cared for patients suffering from chronic disease and acute trauma/illness and wanted to help prevent and/or manage their diseases to avoid hospitalization.

What qualities best describe the care you provide your patients?
I am honest with my patients and will respect decisions you make regarding your care. I like to joke around and have fun with your visit but can also be a shoulder to cry on.

Being a healthcare provider, what drives/motivates you each day?
It is a wonderful feeling to come to work knowing  you trust me to be a part of your family. It is an honor to be a part of your decision making and to help provide support during the trialing times and best of times.

What is the most important thing patients should know about you and your practice?
I strive to provide the best care to every patient, every time.
